The human brain is an incredibly complex organ with many interconnected processes and systems, all of which function together to form the basis of our cognition, behaviour, and personality. The brain is composed of various regions that help to process sensory information, store memories, control bodily movements, and regulate moods and emotions. It relies on millions of nerve cells, or neurons, to communicate with each other and carry information between brain regions. Neurons receive signals from other neurons in the form of electrical impulses, which they then process and send along to other neural pathways. This communication helps the brain to consider the “big picture” by integrating and analyzing different types of information coming from the senses and other parts of the brain.
